About Us…

There are many reasons to pursue an increase in knowledge or ability…current personal needs…emerging community or business needs…economic and societal change…global awareness and responsibility to the future.

Clarus Institute has been established to help people acquire new capabilities and skills, to increase their capacity for where they are now, and to help people position themselves well for the future.

Our vision is to be a Principle-Centered, Innovative, Globally-Aware, Transformative Partner with people on their learning journey.

We focus on increasing capacity in four areas: Learning, Service, Teaching and Leadership.

Discover How

How to Learn

We love helping people develop a working knowledge of how our minds and mental processes work! Throughout our frameworks and courses, we integrate developing a greater understanding of how we learn and how we form ideas, to help us grow and increase our effectiveness in meeting the needs of those around us.

How to Serve

We integrate “Serve First” teaching into our framework and course delivery. This is a foundational pillar of Clarus Institute and is present in all our frameworks, coaching and mentoring processes. The value of a Serve First approach, is that it provides a purposeful motivation for seeking better ways of working with those around us, in the daily responsibilities of our vocations. We believe that the principle of Service paves the way for addressing many of the societal challenges experienced locally and as a worldwide network of communities.

How to Teach

Having great teachers in our working communities is vital. Great teachers pass on knowledge and carry the capacity to draw out the growth and maturation of their learners. Moving beyond thinking that teaching is just giving instructions on what needs to be done, or that experience in ‘doing’ equals capacity to ‘teach’, our frameworks enable people to discover and develop the art and skills of great teaching.

How to Lead

We believe that leadership is not something we can ‘possess’, but rather a way of being that we can continually aspire to.

Through reflective practice, we support people to increase their awareness of themselves, the potential of their role and the responsibilities they carry within the organisations or communities they are part of.

Rather than seeing leadership as a set of isolated skills, we encourage being ‘transformational’ in all interactions, tasks and conversations of the every-day, through maintaining a commitment to ongoing personal improvement processes.
